Happy Birthday/Blogiversary

Woo Hoo!! It's Fizzy Party's Birthday or is it Blogiversary? (I'm not sure what the correct term is, does it matter? nah) Either way, it's a very BIG Woo Hoo!! Wednesday.

It's time to Celebrate good times, come on...Let's celebrate (I'd like to thank Cool and the Gang for that fun song).  You know I'll be celebrating with a cupcake. Snickers cupcakes. (Thank you Pinterest for the idea and My Baking Addiction for the recipe)
I'm having lunch at Little Big Burger with a friend and meeting some friends for pizza for dinner. That's right, I know how to celebrate, all.day.long.
One year ago I took the plunge and started this little blog. It's all your fault Party Frosting :) Fizzy Party has grown a lot in it's first year. It has its own Facebook page with lots of fabulous Little Fizzy's. I love reading and connecting with them all. It's on Twitter and was featured in Bird's Party Magazine spring issue
This little blog has grown beyond what I first imagined for it.

I've connected with so many great people though this blog and hope to connect to many more. Some of the wonderful supportive people I'd love to meet in person some day are, Party Frosting-she's a kick, Cupcake Crusaders -they have been so supportive, Bakingdom-fun blog and she lives in my town! and Bird's Party- very supportive and she asked ME to be in her magazine, sigh. Party Pinching is a MUST for this group of fabulous people. We've met, in person, and she's my party sister.

Where will Fizzy Party go for it's second year? A new design for sure. It's own E-zine? book? movie deal?

Thank you for joining me on this party journey. I could go on and on but you have parties to plan and throw, not sit and listen to me all day long. Ha ha (cue Oscar music, you know the one they play to get the actors to shush up and get off the stage)

Be sure to leave some blogy LOVE :) On here,  Facebook, Twitter or email. Oh what the heck, why not all 3   :)

Tasty House Warming

Saturday I attended a house warming.  We all know decorating isn't part of a house warming, unless of course it's my house warming. hee hee.  House warming's are all about the Tour and food :)

Here's a tour of the food high-lights;

Greg's Famous Fish Taco's
Cherries fresh from the market
Blue Berry Faux cheese cake. The blueberries are from my friends yard. They have a lot of well established blueberries. I may need to go visit them more often ;)
Key Lime Coconut bars. I saw this recipe and had to try it. It's always nice to show up at a house warming with something besides a bottle of wine. These bars are very tasty. In fact I had to make another batch just for my husband.
Happy House Warming Greg and Lauren!

The Shifty Eyed Bunny

Yesterday, July 19th was my husband and I's 4th anniversary. How did we celebrate, we didn't.  Well, not on the day itself. The tiki party is our little wedding reminder.  We tend to celebrate the engagement more. It's so easy to do since it was the day after my birthday :) and we usually go to the beach for my birthday, which by the way, was where we got engaged. At the beach.

How did my husband propose you ask. In a very cute way.
We were at the beach for my birthday and Easter happened to fall close to my birthday that year. See how clever he was. The bag is filled with chicks and bunnies full of Easter candy, there's a birthday present in there AND the bag has a wedding cake on it.
Keep your eye on that little brown bunny with the shifty eyes. (this is what your English teacher would call foreshadowing)

This is where we got engaged.
Do I want to reveal where this is? It's kind of our special spot.
Every time we're down near Yachats, Oregon we stop here.
My husband and I :)

So here's a funny little story. We're down on the beach, with the bag full of candy. My husband tells me he thinks I'd like the candy in the chocolate bunny best. Remember that shifty eyed bunny I told you to watch out for?
Yeah well, it wasn't full of candy.
You think that's a memory maker? Wait till you hear this. I open up the bunny, sensing something is up. I get a peek at the ring before my husband gets on one knee and proposes while he slips it on my finger. Now you'd think the first words out of my mouth would have been yes. Nope. I said, " oh my gosh, it's too big!" I kid you not. As soon as I said it I immediately then said,"wait wait lets do that again. I just wasn't expecting it to be so big"
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE it. Not because of it's size but because of the story behind it. My husband had spent months going to every jewelry store looking for the perfect cut. The man learned how to use a jewels loupe and knows more about diamond grading than I do. Aren't women suppose to know about these things, not men?
When we walked into the store where he bought it to get it sized all the sales people said, John! You know like they do on Cheers when Norm walks in. That's how I found out just how special this year is.

Readers, I'd say this mans a keeper.
Happy Anniversary to an amazing man.
