Happy Cherry Pie Day! To celebrate I'm bringing you a delicious cherry pie round up, all party worthy recipes.  So host a cherry party and save yourself some time in the kitchen by asking your friends to bring an item made from cherries. 

Easy cherry pie bars from The Country Cook.  These would make great party favors.  Package them up with cherry printed ribbon and tags. 

Invite friends over for tea and serve cherry pie cookies from The Recipe Critic.

I love a crumble.  They are SO easy and perfect to bring to a party, potluck, family gathering and more.  Singing Through the Rain has a great recipe.

I love to serve cupcakes at my parties and yes, you can turn cherry pie into cupcakes.  Spend with Pennies has a delicious ooey gooey looking cupcake.

Custom Cookie First

I've admired custom cookies on other party blogs but have never had them..until now. Frog Prince Cake & Cookie Design made these adorable cherry cookies for my mini cherry party. 

These cookies were not only adorable but they were tasty too. They arrived in perfect time for the party and all arrived safe. None were broken.  Linda was great to work with.

The one on the end that is broken, I did that. It arrived all safe and perfect and then I dropped it :(

Woo Hoo!! Wednesday Shop Highlight

This week I'm high lighting the wonderful vendors I got the pleasure of working with on my mini cherry party. 

Ribbon is so versatile and a staple in every party girls craft room. There are so many uses for ribbon and Ribbon Reverly has ribbon for just about any party or occasion you can think of. Best part is, she's local for me. So you know I have to support a local small business. 

I used her gorgeous cherry ribbon to make the banner. It's thick and has a wonderful feel to it. And adds a POP to the banner.

Ribbon is great for dressing up plain white serving pieces. You can create so many different looks. Looking forward to checking out her holiday ribbons. 

 This mini cherry ribbon added just the detail I needed to my sundae glasses. 

 I loved working with all the ribbon. Chelsea was easy to work with, had fast service and has such a variety of ribbon to choose from.

Printables Fun

You might ask yourself, "are printables worth it for my party?"
Yes printables are worth it.  They take your party to another level. 

I had the pleasure of working with Donna of Swish Printables for my Cherry Love  mini party. Donna was great to work with. She created printables that went with my theme perfectly. Can you imagine this mini party without printables? It just wouldn't be as cute and fun. 

 Donna responded to my emails quickly and sent me proofs for me to preview. Kids parties, adult parties and so many themes are in her shop waiting to be a part of your party. If you don't see what you're looking for, Donna can create something for you. She enjoys the custom orders. 

 One thing I love about Swish Printables is that she is closed on weekends. This is family time and I love that.

When my Breyers Ice Cream Toppings arrived in the mail I got all excited about the Real Fruit Cherry Topping.  No high fructose corn syrup and cherries are the first ingredient. When I went to the store to get some ice cream for my mini party I started to go straight for the vanilla. Than my eye spotted the Breyers Cherry Vanilla. I had to give it a try.  Real cherries in a smooth creamy vanilla ice cream. I added some whipped cream, a cherry on top and used Breyers Chocolate Flavored Ice Cream Sauce. The sauce comes in a squeeze pouch, is easy to use and is microwavable. Oh my, this is one tasty ice cream sundae.

These are no ordinary cupcakes and the reason I was so excited about the Breyers Real Fruit Cherry Topping. 

 

Instead of using the cherry topping to pour over ice cream, I used it as a filling for cupcakes.  Chocolate cupcakes with cherry vanilla frosting and cherry filling.  I took these to work and my co-workers LOVED them. Words I heard were "YUM", "mmmm so good" and my favorite " Oh my gosh. These taste heavenly"

I want to thank Breyers  for the opportunity to try their new Ice Cream Toppings. I will definitely be buying these again.
