This season I wanted to take the party outdoors. Instead of having friends over to the house I thought it would be fun to go on the hunt for the perfect Christmas tree. This invitation was perfect for what I had planned. The tree's on top the cars hint at the party to come. I especially like that the car is red because my car is red.
Plaid is SO hot again this year and conjures up feelings of coziness and warmth. I wanted to bring those feelings along with us as we hunted for the perfect tree. I set up a little hot cocoa bar with treats to keep us fueled as we searched for and cut down the perfect tree.
Whipped cream, mini marshmallows and sprinkles are a must for hot cocoa. I kept the topping choices limited because we were on location. If I was setting up a hot cocoa bar at home I would go all out with the topping choices.
Cupcakes and cookies to enjoy with our hot cocoa before searching for our trees. Plain store bought cupcakes can be easily dressed up with liners that match your party theme, sprinkles and toppers.
As you can see it rained as we looked for our trees. Being from the Portland metro area though, we didn't let a little rain stop us. It's just runny snow ;) hee hee
Before heading off to find the perfect tree I'm warming up with some hot cocoa in my holiday mug I created.
When the perfect tree calls out to you, Pick me! Pick me! Photo props make hunting for the perfect tree fun. Take some with you when you go looking for your tree this season.
I just bagged the perfect tree! See how fun photo props can be. You could even add the year to the prop.
Time to cut down this perfect tree I found.
A big thank you to Sleighbells Tree Farm and Gift Shop for letting me shoot this little party on their property. My husband and I have been getting our Christmas tree here for years.
