Smirk Photobooth Co's Birthday Party

Smirk Photobooth Co's Birthday at Opal 28

Last week I attended Smirk Photo Booth Co's first business birthday at Opal 28 in Portland, Oregon.  The first time I met Skylor was at an event at Opal 28.  Her photo booth was so fun and she has so much energy, like me. So of course when her business hit one and she threw a party, I had to attend.

Beautiful chalk work by HeyHalle.  I haven't met her yet but you all know I'd like too.   I always like meeting fellow creatives, especially local ones.  I like to have go-to people I know for my parties and events.

Who can resist a cheese spread. I seriously need to host a wine and cheese party some day.

Delicious vegan meals were made by Hays Kitchen for Smirk Photobooth Co's birthday party.  Although I'm not a vegan and don't like veggies, I'm like a kid when it comes to veggies, seriously, the food did look really good.   As you can see, the guests enjoyed the food.

Now THIS is what I'm talking about. Dessert.  Britters Bakery made this yumminess.   I was bummed I missed them at the event. I always enjoy meeting bakers.  My parties always need treats 😊 The mini cupcakes were melt in your mouth yummy and those gummy bears! Oh my gosh. I had to make sure to stay far away after I had a few.  I could have eaten the whole bowl.

Smirk Photo Booth Co has the funnest props! Look at all that glitter 😍😍 I really love all the variety too.  That Censored one is hilarious.  Hello happy unicorn.

Happy First Birthday

My second cousin had her first birthday on January 4th.  My cousin had the party at Munchkin Playland which is a perfect place for little kids.  They have a nice area for kids to play in and they clean up after your party.  How nice is that?

My cousin used her Cricut to make the Happy Birthday sign and these cute little decorations. How does my 19 year old cousin have a Cricut and I don't? Although I'm told a Silhouette  is what I should get. I'm going to have to research this.

Look at these cute little animals made by my cousin with her Cricut. I love the colours she chose.
The cake was made at a bakery and they did a great job of matching the party theme.
The high-chair back was made by my cousin with the help of our aunts and the tutu front was made by my cousin. So cute!
Smash cake from Albertson's. My second cousin loved the pink frosting more than she did the cake. She looked like a clown by the end of the night with all the pink frosting all over her mouth and nose.
I don't know why this picture came out sideways. It didn't look that way when I uploaded it. And I can't get it to not be sideways.

Little Monkey First Birthday

My friends little boy just turned one.  The theme: Monkey banana. Since he was turning one, the decorations were kept to a minimum. How many monkey's do you see?

I would have gone with a yellow or green table cloth to keep with the theme. That's just me. I like to match everything to my theme down to the last detail.

Fresh Pina Colada's were served for the adults.  By fresh, I mean, pineapple chunks and canned coconut. This was the first time I had fresh pina colada's and they were quite tasty.

Along with a veggie tray, quiches were served.  Potato and spinach variate's.

The chicken skewers were a BIG hit with the kids and the adults.  Can you tell?  We eh hem, sampled some before the party really began :)

Mini bundt banana cakes were a hit among the kids.  oops! I missed getting a picture of the chocolate covered banana's. Both dark and milk chocolate were served.

BIRTHDAY CAKE! It was gluten free and vegan because many of the kids who were invited have food allergies. I confess, I didn't try a piece.  I'm all about the gluten and sugar and eggs. As soon as my ears hear the words gluten free and vegan I think, that can't possibly taste good.  The adults that did eat the cake said it was good but dry.
Happy Birthday Jax!
