Tiki High-Light

It's ALL about the printables today.

Two wonderful printables ladies helped bring some island flavor to this year's Tiki party.

Sunny By Design added a luau touch to the favors with her island flower party labels. My guests paid a little more attention to the favors with that pretty label there. Sunny was such a joy to work with.

Itsy Belle did a fabulous job of creating Tiki Luau printables. She didn't have any in her shop before but she does now :) And they are great! I forgot to take a picture of the invitation but you can see the whole set here in her shop.

The black smudges are totally from my old free printer, NOT from Itsy Belle
Itsy Belle created just what I was looking for. The colours were perfect and working with Christy was so easy. In fact, she's having a vow renewal this weekend so pop over to her Facebook page and wish her a happy one.

Tiki Time

It's that time of year again, time to Tiki with Tiffany.
Guests were greeted by the bright fun cocktail umbrella wreath that signals party fun inside. This year I added the Aloha banner made by A Well Crafted Party

Since I do this party annually using the decorations from year to year, I need to change it up a bit. These tiki masks and flowers are usually on my mantle and the lanterns normally hang from the trees outside. This year they went perfectly with the banner made by Itsy Belle

I love that Itsy Belle is my neighbor to the North. Support local small business :)

Grab a drink and lets get this party started.  Tiki Punch is a staple at my Tiki parties. I never have any left.

Cocktail umbrellas add more funness to your drink.
One thing that helps keep the cost down is by making this party potluck. Guests always ask what they can bring and often times it gives them a chance to try a recipe out. I made spam/pineapple kabobs that everyone was excited about. I really need to make more next year.

I also made these Pineapple Smokies  that made my house smell sooo good. They were tasty too.

The Pineapple-Mango guac called for tomatoes too, which I thought I had and later found out I didn't. The guests loved it! They all said no tomatoes were needed.

Not having kids I don't have a kids room or toys. The parents know this and were fabulous and brought toys for their kids. I did have a few fun kid things that they enjoyed playing with. Bubbles and  temporary tattoos were a hit.
