4th of July Ice Cream Social

4th of July means parades, time with family, trips out of town or just wanting to relax at home.  With most people being busy on the 4th of July weekend I decided to have some friends over the weekend before for a Patriotic Ice Cream Social.

Painting Paris Pink's invitation set the tone for the party. My friend even came to the party in red, white and blue docksider's. I love when my friends dress in the theme of the party.
Just like your favorite frozen yogurt place, the table was set with a variety of toppings.
Greyson Designs paper medallions and Fancy and Fold's stars made for a fun backdrop.
For anyone who wanted to make a float or just needed a drink to wash the ice cream down with, 4th of July straws were dressed up with paper stars.

Star dishes found at Fred Meyer

Gumballs by SweetWorks and mason jars by Always the Occasion

Paper stars by Fancy & Fold

Goodwill is a great place to get ice cream sundae glasses at a much lower price. I got all mine there.

Mochi on ice cream is so good. Look for it at your local Asian grocery. I got mine at Uwajima.

Add a little fun to your wooden spoons by drawing fireworks on them.
Sparkler party favors were dressed up with ribbon and paper stars.
Remove ribbon and paper star before lighting the sparkler

Vacation

Fizzy Party

Just as television shows take a break for the summer, I too have decided to take a break from blogging. Not for the whole summer. Just for the month of June.  June really kicks off summer. I can hear the lawn mowers all over my neighborhood, my neighbor hammering away as he works on his patio cover, cars being filled with camping gear, and people enjoying the sun on their bikes and out for their runs.  Who has time to read blogs when there's so much life to enjoy now that the sun is FINALLY out!

I have a lot of crafting to accomplish for parties that friends are throwing, getting out in this sunshine for runs and bike rides, a yard I want to redesign, weekend fun to be had with friends and revamping this blog.

Fizzy Party
While this blog will be quiet for the month of June, my social media will not.  I'll be blowing up my Twitter , Facebook and G+  with pictures and party fun.  Mainly concentrating on Twitter and G+ because lets face it, Facebook is just not letting you all see what we post. So if you're not following me on Twitter and G+ click those links and add me. You don't want to miss out on any of the party fun, advice, ideas or conversations.

Have a great June and I'll see you back here in July!
